Sunset Wharf is a thoughtfully curated waterfront living experience where coastal tranquility meets refined design. As the interior designer for this signature community, my approach was to create spaces that feel naturally connected to their remarkable setting while delivering comfort, clarity, and contemporary sophistication.
Positioned along the serene shores of the Chesapeake Bay, Sunset Wharf’s 28 duplex residences are conceived as modern coastal sanctuaries. My vision centered on amplifying natural light and optimizing panoramic water views through open plan layouts and expansive glazing. Each residence is designed to feel luminous and effortless, a seamless extension of indoor and outdoor living where residents can enjoy sunrises over calm waters and sunsets that glow over the marina.
Throughout the interiors, a restrained yet elevated material palette was chosen to reflect both the coastal context and a timeless elegance. Custom millwork and high end finishes provide depth and dimension while maintaining a cohesive and livable aesthetic. In the kitchen spaces, refined cabinetry, premium surfaces, and carefully calibrated lighting create environments that are polished yet welcoming, a place where everyday life feels elevated and effortless.
The primary suites and living areas were designed with proportions that prioritize comfort without compromising style. Textural elements and thoughtful detailing balance softness with architectural precision, resulting in interiors that feel open, light, and attuned to the rhythms of the waterfront lifestyle.
Private outdoor terraces and balconies enhance each residence’s connection to place, offering tranquil spaces for dining, entertaining, or quiet reflection. These outdoor retreats, framed by sweeping water views and gentle breezes, underscore the project’s central theme, a refined yet relaxed way of living by the bay.
Sunset Wharf reflects an intentional fusion of coastal serenity and modern design discipline. It is a community that honors its spectacular setting while offering residents a distinctive sense of belonging and style. I am proud to have shaped interiors that not only complement the dynamic coastal landscape of Bay Bridge Marina but also provide an enduring backdrop for everyday moments and lifelong memories.
